April 15, 2010 -- Arlington, Va. -- ITSSD President Lawrence Kogan is a guest speaker at the April 15th meeting of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Intellectual Property Rights Policy Committee, presenting How SMART are Standards that Sacrifice Intellectual Property Rights? Mr. Kogan will discuss the efforts being made by certain US companies, NGOs and academicians to have the Obama administration promote the use of ‘open’ (redefined as, royalty-free or non-proprietary) technology-based technical standards now being developed in connection with the federal government’s climate change, health I/T, and SMART Grid initiatives. |
